Associate – MANSA Digital System

Our Client the African Export–Import Bank AFREXIMBANK is looking to recruit for an Associate – MANSA Digital System.


MANSA is a collaborative CDD/KYC information repository platform with a special emphasis on African financial institutions and corporates to enable global institutions, partners, and counterparties to access African entities’ CDD profiles and information as well as leverage the platform to conduct customer due diligence on African entities; Financial institutions, Corporates, and SMEs.


Duties & Responsibilities

a) Administrative

i. Assist the MANSA Digital System management to execute the MANSA mandate.

ii. Assist in onboarding new contributors and other participants.

iii. Support the Head of MANSA Digital System and MANSA Management to schedule meetings, develop reports, and carry out requisite research.

iv. Assist with the ongoing annual contributors’ renewal and reminder processes by email, letter, and phone; as well as answering email, phone, and written inquiries from existing and potential new contributors in line with the required participation service standards.

v. Follow up with Finance to confirm receipt of payments for subscriptions paid through the electronic fund transfer channel.

vi. Collect, compile, and monitor payment data and provide high-quality focused regular analysis reports, particularly for African entities.

vii. Provide first line of support for queries addressed to the MANSA Digital System and provide the requisite first-draft responses and analytical reports.

viii. Participate in schedule cross-functional team meetings and capture minutes as well as critical outcomes and action points that the MANSA Digital System Management needs to focus on.

b) Support business operations of the KYC/ CDD Digital Platform (MANSA Repository Platform)

i. Support end-to-end onboarding processes; onboarding of subscribers, contributors of CDD profiles, agents, partners, and verifiers.

ii. Review, quality check, and publish CDD profiles for Financial Institutions (FIs), Corporates, and SMEs.

iii. Review and authorize/reject independent verifiers/reviewers.

iv. Manage user administration and entities administrator profiles.

v. Manage the publishing of news, events, and publications.

vi. Support data collection and validation process to maintain quality upload to KYC/CDD digital repository Platform.

vii. Provide support to MANSA Repository Platform contributors, agents, and partners during setting up, data contribution, and verification phases as well as during annual or on-demand re-validation of contributed data.

viii. Ensure proper implementation of the CDD guidelines and processes on the platform.

ix. Support the maintenance of investment information content; country profile, investment climate, and economic outlook, working with content service provider for the MANSA Repository Platform.

x. Comply with service level agreements/standards for reported incidents and problems on the KYC/CDD digital platform.

xi. Accomplish assigned tasks (including time-sensitive tasks) within defined targets and adapt to changing priorities; and

xii. Support all required trainings pertaining to the function in a timely manner.

c) Business Development

i. Assist with business development activities to send and follow up on mass mailings and other campaign channels to influence customers, agents, and partners to acquire and upload company profiles to MANSA Repository Platform.

ii. Support with the execution of business plans to ensure sustainable growth and increased market share for the platform.

iii. Support digital marketing and sales campaigns as assigned;

iv. Manage Platform Services and Innovation.

v. Support leveraging existing and emerging technologies to lower cost, improve user/subscriber experience, and create new compliance services and markets for CDD Repository Platform.

vi. Stakeholder Management; and

vii. Actively participate and fully support the Head of MANSA in preparations and launching of all forums that are hosted by the Bank through the MANSA Digital Initiative.

d) Any other duties

i. Perform any other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head, MANSA Digital System that enables MANSA to maintain a balance between routine Businesses as Usual (BAU) and adhoc tasks at any given time.


Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, and Attitude

Educational and Technical Competencies

· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Banking, or Finance from a recognized University;

· A postgraduate degree (Master's degree) in a relevant field is a must.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience with a leading Banking organization in a relevant related field.

· Demonstrable proficiency in English and working knowledge of one of the Bank’s other working languages (French, Arabic, Portuguese).

Contract type – Permanent
