Chief Executive Officer

Our client is a multinational leading FMCG that offers a wide range of food products adapted to the taste of the respective country. They are seeking to hire a Chief Executive Officer that will manage and lead the performance of the company in Egypt with full responsibility of P&L. S/He is mainly responsible for steering strategy and driving directions set up of the company.


  • Steering strategy and directions set up of Egypt’s operation.
  • Modeling and setting the company's culture, values and behavior.
  • Building and leading the senior executive team.
  • Maintaining external organizational awareness in terms of the competitive landscape, opportunities for growth, customers, markets, industry development, and standards.
  • Creating a learning organization that will continue to grow and flourish through enhancing the skills and abilities of employees.
  • Overseeing and interacting with the complete operation in accordance with the direction established and approved plan This includes the redesign of the organization to facilitate and support the operational targets.
  • Establishing measurable goals for the organization and evaluating its success.
  • Provide inspired leadership company-wide.
  • Make high-level decisions about policy and strategy.
  • Report to the regional HQ and keep them informed.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and a strategic plan.
  • Work with the executive board to determine values and mission, and plan for short and long-term goals.
  • Drive growth through participation in business development, work with key customers and distributors.
  • Foster innovation in products, consumer marketing, and channels.
  • Look at options for internationalization.
  • Act as the primary spokesperson for the company.
  • Develop the company’s culture and overall company vision.
  • Create an environment that promotes great performance and positive morale.
  • Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
  • Build and manage long-term capital investment plans.
  • Work with senior stakeholders and other executives.
  • Assure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
  • Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the company.

Professional Qualifications

  • 20+ years of experience includes 10+ in a senior leadership role with credible knowledge of the FMCG industry in Egypt.
  • Robust Experience in food production or potentially any FMCG.
  • Experience in building a business, in a senior management position, preferably with a commercial background.
  • Experience in the change management process.
  • Knowledge of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management, and general finance and budgeting.
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among executives, partners, and the workforce.
  • Possess a deep understanding of local culture and market forces while observing the cultural norms of the parent corporate environment.
  • Experience with corporate governance.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
