Regional Business Development Manager

AIMS International has been retained by our client, a multinational leader in the biotechnology field. The Business Development Manager will cover North West Africa for their household care unit with the role-based out of Egypt.

Management/ Steering responsibilities

  • Working in Account Team set up with Technology Specialist
  • Member of Industry Group Network made up of Industry Group Manager, Regional Marketing Manager(s), Technology Specialists, and other BDMs.
  • Develop the account(s) to reach business goals and high customer satisfaction
  • Develop joint account plan involving internal key stakeholders and customer
  • Provide input for financial processes
  • Propose new solutions to the account(s)
  • Identifying, scoping, and developing new business opportunities
  • Provide input to Industry Group Management and Global Marketing in terms of e.g. general account trends, competition, industry dynamics

Operational/ Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • To plan and carry out all sales activities of Novozymes Household Care products in the assigned region (northwest Africa)  
  • Provide input to sales budget preparation and input to the sales forecast
  • Meet Accounts sales targets and support Industry targets
  • Develop, execute and maintain customer account plans with the account team
  • Develop multi-layer sales relationships within the account and develop/maintain a power map to understand decision power distribution
  • Engage in sales opportunity management in terms of assessing effort needed technical service, Sales resources etc.
  • Responsible for archiving customer information/data and ensuring that same is filed appropriately in CRM System
  • Identify competitive threats at accounts and inform by register relevant information in CRM System and follow- up on planned measures
  • Gather competitive information and register in CRM System
  • Be the primary point of contact between the customer and Novozymes
  • Pursue business development opportunities within assigned territory

  • Good knowledge and practical experience in MS office tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication (English), interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Proficiency in French and/or Arabic language is also required.   • Ability to travel frequently (Monday through Friday), with occasional weekend travel

Experience and Qualifications

  • B.E/B.Tech, M. E/ M. Tech, M Sc or B Sc degree sales/marketing/textile technology and / or Technical)
  • Have minimum of 7 years of relevant job experience, preferably in FMCG, Chemical or Biochemical Sciences. Experience in detergents organization is an advantage
  • Excellent track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets
